Brenda Jensen, CPhT, CNMT, MBA
Brenda’s pharmacy experience began in 1984 as a pharmacy specialist in the US Air Force and she has been involved in pharmacy one way or another since then (including retail and hospital pharmacy, nonsterile and sterile compounding, oncology and nuclear pharmacy). In 2001, Brenda helped start a compounding-only pharmacy in Sioux Falls, SD and worked there until 2007 when she opened a community pharmacy in Harrisburg, SD. Brenda’s educational background includes CPhT, CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist), BA Management and MBA. She is registered as a pharmacy technician in South Dakota and Illinois, NPTA certified in Compounding, Sterile Products and Chemotherapy, ACC certified as a sterile compounding instructor and holds memberships in IACP, FIP, ACA, ASHP, NPTA, AAPT and the Florida and Texas Pharmacy Associations. She also serves on the IACP Board of Directors representing region VI. Brenda started Compounding Consultants, LLC in the fall of 2011. She resides in eastern South Dakota.
Jim Hack, CPhT
Jim began his career as a pharmacy specialist in 1985 at an Air Force hospital in Homestead, Florida, working alongside Brenda Jensen. Jim has extensive experience in work flow processes, inventory management and sterile compounding (including oncology and nuclear pharmacy). He owned and operated an oncology practice management company where he safely and cost-effectively helped oncologists provide chemotherapy to their patients. In an effort to improve pricing, Jim formed a GPO that was eventually purchased by a major wholesaler. At this time, Jim took some time off from the pharmacy world to follow his son in professional golf. In 2013 he joined Brenda at Compounding Consultants, LLC. Jim is a CPhT, registered as a pharmacy technician in IL and holds memberships in IACP, ACA, NPTA, AAPT and the Florida and Texas Pharmacy Associations. He lives in Orlando, Florida.
